Hon. Dayasiri Jayasekara raised procedural concerns about being named in remarks made under Parliamentary privilege, arguing that Members should not use privilege to make allegations against colleagues who are not present to respond. He said the relevant statement had later been rejected by the Member who supposedly made the allegation and requested that the Chair review the matter and take appropriate action regarding the record and the use of privilege.
