¶ 01 TRANSFER OF LRC LANDS TO PRIVATE INDIVIDUALS: SOUTHERN PROVINCE — 869/2025

¶ 02 To ask the Minister of Agriculture, Livestock, Land and Irrigation:

¶ 03 (a) Will he inform this House - (i) the extent of land of the Southern Province that was transferred to the Land Reform Commission at the time the Commission was established, separately in relation to each Divisional Secretary’s Division; (ii) the number of lands which are less than 50 acres in extent, of which the ownership has been transferred to private individuals, the extent of each of the lands concerned and the name of the person to whom each land has been transferred, and whether those lands have been transferred for business purposes or agricultural purposes, separately in relation to each of the Divisional Secretary’s Divisions; (iii) the names and the extents of lands that have neither been transferred nor disposed of so far, separately in relation to each of the said Divisional Secretaries' Divisions; (iv) the lands that are currently subjected to legal proceedings, out of the said lands; and (v) the lands that have been requested for new projects? (b) If not, why?
