¶ 01 We certainly intend to make strategic reforms, and work has already commenced. Multiple agencies collect data: the Department of Census and Statistics, the Ministry of Finance, the Central Bank and others. There are issues of coordination and interoperability. Some processes are computerized but recompiled manually later, causing linkage problems. We are moving towards digitalization to digitalize and integrate data, which will also address delays between one department’s compilation and another’s release. Timely data is essential for quality and relevance, and technology is the foundation through which we will resolve these issues.
