¶ 01 Hon. Presiding Member, at the Committee Stage of the Appropriation Bill, I move the following amendment in respect of Head 337, Programme 02:

¶ 02 "On page 20, immediately after line 17, substitute the following item: 'Head 337 - Department of Cinnamon Development

¶ 03 Programme 02

¶ 04 Development Programme - Rs. 150,000,000 Rs. 300,000,000'"

¶ 05 [The purpose of this amendment is to transfer the revised provision of Rs. 150,000,000 for Recurrent and Rs. 300,000,000 for Capital for Head 337 - Department of Cinnamon Development, in terms of Extraordinary Gazette No. 2458/65 dated 18.10.2025, to the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, Lands and Irrigation (COD).]

¶ 06 Hon. Presiding Member, I move that the Committee report Progress, and ask for leave to sit again.

¶ 07 I also move:

¶ 08 "That in terms of Section 14 of the Finance Act No. 38 of 1971, the Annual Report of the Paddy Marketing Board for the year ended 31.12.2017, submitted on 20.01.2022 together with the observations of the Auditor General, be approved. (The Advisory Committee on Matters relating to Agriculture considered this on 22.02.2022 and its Report was presented to Parliament on 24.02.2022.)"

¶ 09 Question put, and agreed to.

¶ 10 I further move:

¶ 11 "That in terms of Section 14 of the Finance Act No. 38 of 1971, the Annual Report of the Paddy Marketing Board for the year ended 31.12.2018, submitted on 20.01.2023 together with the observations of the Auditor General, be approved. (The Advisory Committee on Matters relating to Agriculture considered this on 20.06.2023 and its Report was presented to Parliament on 05.07.2023.)"
