¶ 02 MULTI-PURPOSE SERVICE CENTRES IN MULLAITIVU DISTRICT: WATER, ELECTRICITY AND TOILET FACILITIES

¶ 03 Question by The Hon. K. Kader Masthan to the Minister of Public Administration, Provincial Councils and Local Government.

¶ 04 (a) Will he inform this House— (i) whether there are any Grama Niladhari Divisions, out of the 136 in Mullaitivu District, which do not have multi-purpose service centres (Seva Piyasa) that can be used by the Grama Niladharis, Development Officers and Samurdhi Development Officers; (ii) if so, the number of offices temporarily housed in alternative buildings; (iii) the number of offices that need to be renovated; (iv) the number of offices that do not have toilet, water and electricity facilities; and (v) the number of offices to which the electricity supply has been disconnected?

¶ 05 (b) Will he also inform this House— (i) whether he is aware that there are difficulties in providing quality services to the public due to such shortages; and (ii) the plan in place to address the said shortages in order to provide quality and expeditious services to the public?
