¶ 01 Hon. Speaker, this was a dhal consignment meant to be given to Sri Lanka; a consignment intended for our country. What happened there? That ship came to India on the 18th for a naval exercise held in Visakhapatnam. Countries from all over the world took part. However, what was done here was a vile act to set us, our country, against others. They invited participants to a naval exercise and brought them to their territory. When the exercise ended and other countries’ personnel departed, where were these people to go? Those who had been brought at the host’s invitation were pushed out. That is why the ship turned towards our waters from the direction you mention. This is a very disgraceful act. Even if we are a small country, such vile deeds cannot be done to us. This is like luring people and killing them — that is what was done. This is grossly unfair.
