¶ 01 Question No. 921/2025 to the Minister of Defence regarding widows of fallen or missing military personnel: payment of pension/monthly allowances.

¶ 02 (a) Will he inform this House— (i) whether a pension is paid to widows of military personnel killed in action from the date of death up to the date such personnel would have reached retirement; and (ii) whether a fixed monthly allowance is paid to such widows after the retirement date?

¶ 03 (b) Will he also inform this House— (i) whether a fixed monthly allowance is paid to widows of military personnel who went missing during the war, effective from the date such personnel would have reached retirement age; (ii) if not, whether such allowance is denied on the grounds of the entry “missing due to a terrorist attack” in the death certificate; (iii) if so, whether he admits that it is an injustice to such widows; and (iv) whether there is a possibility of making legal provision to pay the fixed monthly allowance to such widows, taking into account the period they have been missing?
