¶ 12 (iii) Yes. On 01.09.2025, a field inspection of the Baddegama District Hospital was conducted with the participation of the Southern Province Chief Secretary, Provincial Director of Health Services, District Director of Health Services, Chairman and Secretary of the Baddegama Pradeshiya Sabha, and other officials.

¶ 13 (iv) Yes. The District Director of Health Services, Galle, has been tasked with implementing decisions to rectify identified issues; details are in Annex 02 (tabled).

¶ 14 (b)(i) Yes.

¶ 15 (ii) All hospitals, MOH offices and field clinics are mapped, and we have awareness of their functions. These are integrated into a data system.

¶ 16 (c) Does not arise.

¶ 17 Annex tabled: - Department of Health Services – Southern Province, letter SPH/MDP/PA/1/2/2 dated 2025.09.__ to the District Director of Health Services, Unawatuna, conveying the prioritized remedial actions for Baddegama District Hospital, including: • Sanitation: insufficient toilets (OPD, clinics, Wards 01 & 02); • Lack of ramp access to Ward 01 for patient transfer; • No garage for ambulance and no resting area for drivers; • Dental surgery expansion and provision of air conditioning; • Rectification of blocked drainage; • Major repairs to 75-year-old main building and re-roofing; • Renovation of staff quarters. Directed to include in 2025–2026 development plans as per priority.
