¶ 01 Okay. Corrupt officials remain within this government with double faces—showing you a good face while hiring lawyers to protect ill-gotten wealth. You can hold interviews and select new people, but they file cases to escape. You conducted interviews twice. After you selected new appointees, they file cases to cancel all those appointments. In one instance, audit queries were conducted on those already appointed; reports have been sent to the Ministry, but no action seems to have been taken. Such fraudsters who survived in the last government may still have room to survive now. Therefore, take proper action.

¶ 02 This country has a long-festering ethnic problem. There are rights issues concerning the disappeared; their relatives have been struggling for years. Only by giving them a just solution can we build a beautiful life. The President spoke at the UN General Assembly about recognizing Palestine, but there was no exchange there on how to solve the ethnic issue that has existed since almost Independence—how to deliver justice, fairness and social justice to the brotherly communities. I wish to point that out here.

¶ 03 Problems in hard-hit regions should be solved so that people everywhere live comfortably. In Batticaloa District, there are two areas—Paduwankarai and Eluvankarai. The bridge connecting them has not been built. Recently, due to the collapse of the Magilavettuvan bridge, villagers cannot commute. The formal testing is over, but construction has not begun. The report has been sent to the RDA. Only after they grant approval can it proceed. Finally, to build a beautiful life, we must eradicate drugs, and take immediate legal action and provide punishments for those involved in corruption and fraud. I conclude. Thank you.
