¶ 03 Special Security Arrangements on 07th November, 2025

¶ 04 I wish to inform all Hon. Members of Parliament that, in connection with the Budget Speech for the year 2026 to be presented by the Hon. Minister of Finance on Friday, 07th November, 2025, special security arrangements will be implemented as follows.

¶ 05 I further inform that on Tuesday, 04th November, 2025, Thursday, 06th November, 2025 and Friday, 07th November, 2025, security procedures will be as follows: - The entire Parliament building, including Members’ lounges and lockers, will be subject to security inspection. - On Friday, 07th November, 2025, the following measures will be in effect: (a) Identified high-security/special zones within the Parliament building will be subjected to security checks. (b) The Public Gallery will be restricted to invited guests only. Invitations for guests will be issued by the Ministry of Finance. (c) Hon. Members are kindly requested, as far as possible, to arrive with a driver, and to refrain from bringing guests. (d) For Hon. Members who drive themselves, drivers of the Parliamentary staff will be assigned at the Members’, Staff and Public entrances to park vehicles in the designated car parks. (e) Since the Public Gallery is restricted to invited guests, guests accompanying Hon. Members may, upon confirming identity with the relevant Police officers on duty at the Jayantipura Entrance together with the invitation, proceed to the Public Entrance. (f) As the Parliamentary car parks will be closed on that day, Members’ vehicles will be directed to the appropriate alternative car parks. (g) A special traffic arrangement will be implemented by the Traffic Police and nearby Police Stations.

¶ 06 The cooperation of all Hon. Members is kindly requested regarding the above special security arrangements.
