¶ 01 Road from Weppamkulam to Silawathurai: Details

¶ 02 Asked the Minister of Public Administration, Provincial Councils and Local Government: (a) Will he inform this House— (i) whether he is aware that the internal road from Weppamkulam to Silawathurai of the Musali Pradeshiya Sabha in the Mannar District was reconstructed in 2010 by the then Ministry of Resettlement and Disaster Relief Services; (ii) the length of the aforesaid road; (iii) the name of the village through which the aforesaid road passes; and (iv) separately, the dates of commencement and completion of its reconstruction work? (b) Will he also inform this House— (i) whether he will submit a copy of the agreement entered into with the company concerning the reconstruction of the aforesaid road; (ii) the owners of the company at the time of entering into the agreement; (iii) the amount of money allocated to the company for the reconstruction of that road; (iv) whether he is aware that the road has not been reconstructed, but funds have been obtained fraudulently; and (v) if so, the steps that will be taken regarding it? (c) If not, why?
