¶ 01 The person who claimed responsibility for implementing these matters should be investigated. Why is the Government not doing so? They talk about Abugahinda/Abuhind. When discussing that, Mr. D.D. Seneviratne told the Presidential Commission of Inquiry that above Zaharan there stood “Abuhind.” He is today the Secretary to the Ministry of Public Security. If he provided that information, why cannot the investigations be completed, reported to Parliament, and those “Abuhinds” behind the scenes be arrested?

¶ 02 Further, there are revelations about Jameel. It is Jameel who detonated the bomb at the Tropical Inn. In the Channel 4 programme, a person named Asad Maulana says that after a phone call, an officer called “Sale” ordered that he be taken. Why are these people not being questioned, Hon. Deputy Speaker? If you cannot bring Asad Maulana from France, why cannot an official team be sent to France to investigate? Why is this Government still delaying? Who is protecting them? Who in the Government is protecting these individuals?

¶ 03 It is also stated that “Army intelligence officers went to this person’s house, to his mother’s house.” Why have those officers not been questioned?

¶ 04 Next, they talk about Sara Jasmine. Back then, some MPs — now on the Government side — spoke about Sara Jasmine.
