¶ 01 Mr. Speaker, on behalf of the Minister of Agriculture, Livestock, Land and Irrigation, I answer:

¶ 02 Lands in Anuradhapura District Leased Out for Development: Details (Q. 1241/2025)

¶ 03 (a) (i) Yes. (ii) Yes. (iii) Under long-term lease, 42 land parcels in the Ipalogama DS Division and 535 land parcels in the Kekirawa DS Division have been granted. Details are at Annexes I and II. All leases are for 30 years.

¶ 04 (b) (i) The Kekirawa Divisional Secretary has informed that there is no GN Division named No. 618 Karambawatte; instead, there is GN Division No. 618 Obeysekarapura. (ii) In Kekirawa DS: 9 land lots in GN 618 Obeysekarapura and 4 land lots in GN 621 Ihalagama; and in Ipalogama DS: 1 land lot in GN 519 Ihalakagama have been disposed under long-term lease. Details are at Annex III (ii). (iii) Parties to whom long-term leases were granted are shown in Annex III (iii). (iv) Each lot’s extent and the 30-year lease term are shown in Annex III (i). (v) As per the Divisional Secretary, these land lots have been developed (Annex III (v)). (vi) They have not been re-acquired (Annex III (vi)). (vii) They have not been sub-leased (Annex III (vii)). (viii) It has been reported that elephant fences have not been erected (Annex III (viii)). (ix) Not applicable.
