¶ 01 Question to the Prime Minister and Minister of Education, Higher Education and Vocational Education:

¶ 02 (a) Is she aware that: (i) as per Cabinet Decision No. අමප/12/1101/530/035 dated 08.08.2012 and PSC circular PSC/AP/A12/10/2010 dated 21.09.2012, principals who served/are serving long in difficult schools were appointed on a supernumerary basis to Grade 2(ii) (1,399 officers) and Grade 3 (142 officers) of the Sri Lanka Principals’ Service; and

¶ 03 (ii) their appointments were confirmed as per Cabinet Decision No. අමප/21/1824/308/139 dated 23.11.2021 and PSC letter No. PSC/EST/02-05/01/2020 dated 02.06.2022?

¶ 04 (b) Will she inform this House: (i) whether the administrative allowance, paid in line with school categorization to other principals and also paid to these principals until March 2018, is not being paid now, and the reasons; (ii) whether current requests for appointments to fill principal vacancies and for mutual transfers are being rejected, and the reasons; (iii) whether internal and inter-zonal transfers and promotions are granted to the above principals; and if not, the reasons?
