¶ 02 Request to Raise a Question of Privilege

¶ 03 I wish to make this Announcement with reference to a letter submitted to me by the Hon. (Dr.) Ramanathan Archchuna, Member of Parliament, seeking permission to raise a matter of Privilege in respect of an incident that had taken place on 08.11.2025 during the Adjournment Debate.

¶ 04 I wish to inform that, having considered the proceedings at the referenced moment, I have already instructed the Secretary-General of Parliament to expunge the unparliamentary words from Hansard and the audio-video recordings of the proceedings. Therefore, a requirement does not arise to raise the matter again in Parliament.

¶ 05 Auditor-General’s Report

¶ 06 In terms of Article 154(6) of the Constitution of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka, I lay on the Table the following parts of the Reports of the Auditor-General:

¶ 07 - For the financial year 2022: Part I of Chapter II; - For the financial year 2023: Parts I and II of Chapter II; and - For the financial year 2024: Part XXV of Chapter II, Part XVIII of Chapter III, and Parts XIII and XIV of Chapter IX.
