¶ 01 Question to the Minister of Fisheries, Aquatic and Ocean Resources:

¶ 02 (a) Is he aware that in the Pottuvil Divisional Secretary’s Division— (i) there are fishery buildings renovated after the tsunami; (ii) among them, some were given on rent/lease and some have been sold; and (iii) among them, some have not yet been used?

¶ 03 (b) Will he inform this House— (i) whether steps will be taken to provide the buildings mentioned in (a)(iii) for Government and public needs; (ii) the parties in charge of maintenance and revenue collection of the multi-purpose fishery buildings constructed in Jalaldeen Square and Kanakar GN Divisions by the Small-scale Fisheries Federation after the tsunami; and (iii) whether action will be taken to vest these buildings with the Pottuvil Pradeshiya Sabha or allocate them for public use after providing the owners with alternative lands through the Pottuvil Divisional Secretariat, if those owners are identified?
