¶ 01 Madam Presiding Member, on behalf of the Minister of Finance, Planning and Economic Development, I move:

¶ 02 “That this Parliament resolves that the Regulation bearing No. 07 made by the Minister of Finance, Planning and Economic Development under powers vested in the Minister under Section 8 of the Appropriation Act, No. 34 of 2023 with the approval of the Government be approved by Parliament, as follows:

¶ 03 Regulation No. 07 under Section 8 of the Appropriation Act, No. 34 of 2023

¶ 04 I, Anura Kumara Dissanayake, Minister of Finance, Planning and Economic Development, in terms of the powers vested in me under Section 8 of the Appropriation Act, No. 34 of 2023, with the approval of the Government, hereby amend the specified limits relating to the activity under Item 30602 ‘Railway Warehouse Escrow Account — Sri Lanka Railways’ in the Third Schedule of the said Act, as follows:

¶ 05 Amendments: (i) Column II (Maximum limit of expenditure) increased from Rs. 2,500,000,000 to Rs. 3,000,000,000 (ii) Column III (Minimum limit of receipts) reduced from Rs. 2,500,000,000 to Rs. 1,900,000,000 (iii) Column IV (Maximum limit of debit balances) — No maximum limit (iv) Column V (Maximum limit of liabilities) — No maximum limit

¶ 06 (This Regulation shall be valid up to 31.12.2024.)
