¶ 01 Madam Presiding Member, on behalf of the Minister of Finance, Planning and Economic Development, I move:

¶ 02 “That this Parliament resolves that the Regulation bearing No. 08 made by the Minister of Finance, Planning and Economic Development under powers vested in the Minister under Section 8 of the Appropriation Act, No. 34 of 2023 with the approval of the Government be approved by Parliament, as follows:

¶ 03 Regulation No. 08 under Section 8 of the Appropriation Act, No. 34 of 2023

¶ 04 I, Anura Kumara Dissanayake, Minister of Finance, Planning and Economic Development, in terms of the powers vested in me under Section 8 of the Appropriation Act, No. 34 of 2023, with the approval of the Government, hereby amend the specified limits relating to the activity under Item 31002 ‘Government Factory Warehouse Escrow Account — Department of Government Factory’ in the Third Schedule of the said Act, as follows:

¶ 05 Amendments: (i) Column II (Maximum limit of expenditure) — No maximum limit (ii) Column III (Minimum limit of receipts) reduced from Rs. 200,000,000 to Rs. 50,000,000 (iii) Column IV (Maximum limit of debit balances) increased from Rs. 40,000,000 to Rs. 80,000,000 (iv) Column V (Maximum limit of liabilities) increased from Rs. 50,000,000 to Rs. 60,000,000

¶ 06 (This Regulation shall be valid up to 31.12.2024.)
