¶ 01 Madam Presiding Member, on behalf of the Minister of Finance, Planning and Economic Development, I move:

¶ 02 “That this Parliament resolves that the Regulation bearing No. 09 made by the Minister of Finance, Planning and Economic Development under powers vested in the Minister under Section 8 of the Appropriation Act, No. 34 of 2023 with the approval of the Government be approved by Parliament, as follows:

¶ 03 Regulation No. 09 under Section 8 of the Appropriation Act, No. 34 of 2023

¶ 04 I, Anura Kumara Dissanayake, Minister of Finance, Planning and Economic Development, in terms of the powers vested in me under Section 8 of the Appropriation Act, No. 34 of 2023, with the approval of the Government, hereby amend the specified limits relating to the activity under Item 31003 ‘Government Factory Work-done Escrow Account — Department of Government Factory’ in the Third Schedule of the said Act, as follows:

¶ 05 Amendments: (i) Column II (Maximum limit of expenditure) — No maximum limit (ii) Column III (Minimum limit of receipts) reduced from Rs. 400,000,000 to Rs. 350,000,000 (iii) Column IV (Maximum limit of debit balances) — No maximum limit (iv) Column V (Maximum limit of liabilities) — No maximum limit

¶ 06 (This Regulation shall be valid up to 31.12.2024.)
