¶ 01 On behalf of the Minister of Transport, Highways, Ports and Civil Aviation, I answer:

¶ 02 (a) (i) Of the five vacant Provincial Director posts and 35 Director posts, interviews were conducted in stages to appoint five permanent Provincial Directors and 28 Directors to the RDA. (ii) Five Provincial Directors and 27 Directors were selected and referred for Board approval. The Board instructed to call for fresh applications for Provincial Directors. Further, while approving 27 Directors, the Board instructed that appointments be issued after obtaining approval from the Department of Management Services (DMS). (iii) Yes. (iv) Yes. (b) (i) Fresh applications have been called for Provincial Directors per Board instructions; interviews will be held in due course. (ii) Cabinet approval No. AMP/25/1143/802/004-1 (2025.07.01) has been granted to appoint the selected applicants, subject to completing absorption procedures prior to issuing appointments. (iii) Non-issuance of DMS guidelines for absorption procedures. (iv) Discussions are being held with the DMS regarding absorption procedures. (v) Yes. (vi) Appointments will be made immediately upon completion of absorption procedures. (c) Not applicable.
